Our biggest project to date — a 1,200 m² T-Deck crash deck spanning multiple plots of a Cardiff residential development, completed in 2025 and signed off by a CISRS-qualified supervisor.
In 2025, Trust Scaffolding completed its largest ever project: a 1,200 m² T-Deck crash deck installation across multiple plots of a Cardiff residential development. This was not just our biggest crash deck — it was our biggest project of any kind, a clear marker of how far the company has grown since its founding in 2016.
Spanning 1,200 m² across multiple plots, the installation was delivered on programme, ensuring zero downtime for the follow-on carpentry and roofing trades. On a scheme of this scale, the crash deck sits firmly on the critical path — any delay in getting the deck down delays every subsequent trade. Our logistical planning, including materials transported by our fleet of HGVs from our 10,000 sq ft depot in Neath, meant the site team had a continuous, compliant working platform exactly when they needed it.
The T-Deck system is rated to 2.0 kN/m² — sufficient for heavy materials, tools, and operatives — and features a patented double-action locking mechanism that clicks every panel into place with no voids or gaps between boards. This is the first point HSE and CDM duty holders check on inspection: a finished T-Deck looks identical to a solid floor when viewed from above. The non-slip, high-visibility polymer panels are lightweight enough for a two-person crew to install at approximately 50 m²/hr, yet robust enough to create a certified collective safety platform that satisfies the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and CDM Principal Contractor obligations.
The entire rig was signed off by a CISRS-qualified supervisor before any follow-on trades were permitted to access the deck. On an installation this large, safety documentation is as critical as the scaffolding itself: we provided a full method statement, risk assessment, and scaffold handover certificate for the client's CDM safety file.
This project built directly on our track record of increasingly large crash deck programmes — following the 600 m² deck at Pentwyn in 2022 and numerous multi-site installations for major house builders across South Wales. As the first FASET-accredited T-Deck installer in Wales, Trust Scaffolding is the specialist choice for residential crash deck hire, Cardiff internal safety decking, and site-wide fall arrest systems across South Wales.
